Since there is currently no clear criteria on what is considered universal natural cosmetics, I personally consider as important and fundamental, the following:
The consumer can not expect the same presentation, texture, color and odor in natural cosmetics in conventional cosmetics. We can not demand white bread, we are deceiving ourselves. We can not demand natural cosmetics if we are unwilling to accept the changes that occur in raw materials that compose it are always changing in composition, texture, color, etc.. We can not demand the same life of a chemical product preserved to a cosmetic hard substances preserved much smoother and natural. Objective information is important to consumers of cosmetics by all those who say build it.
Natural cosmetics should be made by a percentage greater than 90% natural raw materials of animal origin (vegetable or mineral)
It should not contain substances harmful to the skin or the health of the user, it also includes natural raw materials that can be irritating, toxic or dangerous. In principle, this ensures the Cosmetic Regulations of the Ministry of Health, but in natural cosmetics should be more demanding and severe with the raw materials that are suspected are dubious.
As we value the content that the continent, we are more interested in the effect of product presentation. So I do not need coloring or appearance modifiers (texture, density, etc..) Chemical.
Artificial perfumes are not eligible to have the alternative of pure essential aromas that can give a healthy and natural. Nor are admissible reconstituted natural identical aromas, which can become 100% artificial.
Natural cosmetics should be an alternative to conventional produce the same or greater benefits promoting the use of vegetable substances, and not just a green marketing argument.
Natural cosmetics should not be tested on animals. Hydroxatone The production of natural cosmetics should not be associated to any torture or suffering to animals to obtain raw materials (bee products, animal essences, fats, etc.).
Natural cosmetics should be respectful of the environment and the environment. Small details like the overpack, why we need the boxes as we got home we throw it away? already seen in other countries for years, not here, where priority is always the desire to sell. The use of recycled packaging and / or recyclable should be an important point to consider.
Natural cosmetics is based mainly on the use of plants and their extracts. It should be an economic engine that enhances the organic and fair trade with countries producing certain plants. Also, a possibility of economic empowerment of deprived areas with great natural resources (mountain areas, for example), promoting sustainable indigenous crops, ecological and profitable.
For a cosmetic can be natural with all these precepts, must have a consumer concern, a formation that values the differences in quality, not just price, and a group consciousness that provide us see what we really want because, make no mistake more, we only sell what we want to be sold.
I want to sell me the miracle of putting a rejuvenating cream 10 years, so I’m asking someone to make something compelling enough for me to satisfy this desire superficial. Natural cosmetics should not be more than that, a more natural way of caring for our health, hygiene and beauty, more in harmony with ourselves and the planet, more aware. Natural cosmetics should not be a “religion” but a complement in a life that seeks greater harmony, and should avoid falling into fanaticism and radicalism, which unfortunately, often mask power or commercial interests.
There is no greater miracle than the “life” that our bodies best laboratory and most wonderful alchemy of transforming a plant that makes the “light” in “stuff”.
